The Pain of Inaction

There is a lot of information out there. With the rise in popularity of self-improvement, more and more content is being created about it.

And guess what? This newsletter does just that.

But ideally, I don’t want you to be subscribed forever. You should take some ideas, implement them as needed, and get yourself going. After that, no more information will improve your life…only action will.

We can read unlimited articles and watch unlimited YouTube videos, but it doesn’t matter if we don’t do anything about it.

As a complete beginner, If you consumed every piece of content about how to play soccer, would you be good at soccer?

No, because you haven’t done the actual thing!

We can’t continue in a loop of looking for something outside of ourselves (like an article or YouTube video) to improve our lives.

The fact is, we know what needs to be done. If you see someone in incredible shape, don’t ask yourself, “I wonder how they got there.”

You already know. They surely work out, eat well, and recover properly. They actually did the things that would bring them closer to what they wanted.

It’s not rocket science. It’s not productive to just learn everything about self-improvement. It’s important at times, but it’s nothing compared to actually doing things.

You are different from everyone else. You have unique gifts and abilities that cannot be replicated. You know what needs to be done to become the person you want to be…So stop consuming and start doing.

It comes down to this: Would you rather fail in action or drown in knowledge?

One leads to growth, the other to stagnation.

I’ve been struggling with this topic for quite some time. If you are too, then know you aren’t alone.

Change is very uncomfortable. But you’ll never know if you never try.

As always,

Keep making progress. Change for the better. Live the Heming-way.

Til next time,

Trevor
