Spontaneous Adventures

As summer is taking full swing in San Diego, I’ve been getting out of my house more. Whether going to the beach, grabbing food, or hiking with family, I am striving to do more.

Every time I reflect on these activities I do, I find that certain ones feel more special than others.

I conclude that the spontaneous adventures that are unplanned, chaotic, and last-minute are always the most memorable.

While the trips, hangouts, and events that are extensively planned for far into the future have their place, they are exactly that: Planned.

In other words, you know what you’re getting.

But when you make what I like to call a ‘game-time decision,’ there is a level of excitement that can’t be replicated.

No plans = No expectations

And this is a freeing feeling.

So, I challenge you to do something spontaneous this month. Grab some friends, family, or just the clothes on your back and go on an adventure. It could be across the globe, nation, or 5 minutes from where you live.

The point is this: Be spontaneous.

Keep making progress. Change for the better. Live the Heming-way.

Til next time,

Trevor
