Thankful
I don’t want to take up much of your time this week, so I’ll keep it short and sweet.
Be thankful.
Not just for those celebrating Thanksgiving this Thursday, but for everyone everywhere.
I often take things for granted and don’t express my gratitude and thankfulness for the blessings in my life. I wake up every day under a roof, with clean water to drink and clothes on my back. I have a sound mind, a family who cares for me, and friends who want me to succeed.
Even waking up each morning with breath in my lungs is a blessing, though I don’t often treat it as such.
In previous years, I’ve treated Thanksgiving as the day I get all my “gratitude points” for the year. But this year, I am focusing on truly being thankful for the things I have.
You may be in a similar boat. If so, I urge you to join me in writing down 3 things you’re thankful for each day this week.
It only takes a minute of your day, but it is a powerful reminder of how lucky you are.
Keep making progress. Change for the better. Live the Heming-way.
Til next time,
Trevor
p.s. Spend time with your loved ones!
